It doesn’t matter if you are at level 1, 14, 18 or 20 and exercised for 20 or 60 minutes! Just move! Some days are better than others; the idea is to keep your heart rate up for a period of time. If you are one that is better conditioned then you can demand more from your body and you will reap the benefits. Do what YOU need to do!
For those who need some more cajoling:
TODAY, take your blood pressure and make an appointment to get your blood cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL/HDL cholesterol levels checked. If that doesn’t motivate you, then consider a complete blood count, urinalysis, iron, C-reactive protein, thyroid stimulating hormone and/or bone density testing. Now, you may not have ANY problems, and if so, you can sleep better at night—which will help you exercise easier. And, IF you have a problem, then you will know and can do something about ! More reasons to keep moving:
Diabetes, Insulin Sensitivity and Glucose Metabolism Physical INactivy weakens the body’s insulin regulatory mechanisms. Regular aerobic exercise significantly increases insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism. This means that the body’s cells can transport glucose into the cells of the liver, muscle and ADIPOSE (fat) tissues with more efficiency!!
So, get moving! What are you waiting for?!
